The beginning of 58 was a coincidence. Two people came together sharing a dream and noticed that they wanted to realize their dreams because they love them. That’s how 58 was born! Up until this day these dreams have become more intense and it does not look like the two friends will stop dreaming.
Each of the friends had a very simple starting point. Their shops were not bigger than 30 square meters. The first shop was opened in Ulm (the city where Einstein was born) at the same time snowboarding became popular in Germany. The other one was opened at the same time in Baleal when surfing became more and more popular in Portugal and the first surfing-schools were established.
Today you can check for yourself whether the dreams of the two friends are still alive today. Visit 58 in Ulm or in Baleal and see for yourself how their passion for surfing, snowboarding and skating has been realized. And finally the answer to the question that’s in all of your heads that don’t know 58 yet: why 58?
Very simple - it was the number on the door of the first 58 shop. And 58 is internationally understandable, so that interested people, friends and supporters from different countries will never have problems finding us.
