Since his early childhood in Reunion Island where he was born, then Madagascar where he grew up, Jeremy Flores has always been connected with the sea. Introduced to surfing by his father, Jeremy demonstrated very early a superior talent for shortboard riding. To give him every chance to make it to the highest level, his family decided to live half the year in Australia and the other half in France, while Jeremy was home-schooled. With support from the beginning from Quiksilver, Jeremy soon made his mark in the national championships of Australia and France. A great career was predicted with him being compared to Kelly Slater, who said the following about Jeremy, ‘he is better than me at the same age.' It remains to be seen but Jeremy Flores is going to be a force to be reckoned with, having such great conviction that has earned him the respect of his peers.
